On Sept. 6, 2019, Life Care Center of Cleveland, Tennessee, continued its longstanding tradition of crowning a Mr. and Ms. Life Care.
Several residents participated in the pageant this year, which involved a brief introduction of each contestant and answering of several questions. This year’s winners were Michael McCleary and Sue Beam.
Doyle Love, vice president of Life Care’s Cumberland Region, served as the emcee. He asked questions such as “What is the secret to life?” “What is your favorite book?” and “What is your favorite place to visit?”
Kristen Kelsey from Amedisys hospice, Amy Mattson from Chattanooga Hospice and Chara McLaughen from Heart Hospice judged the contest.
McCleary enjoys watching sports of all kinds but especially professional basketball. He follows all teams but likes the 76s and Boston Celtics the best. He likes chewing gum and having friends come to visit him.
Beam enjoys people watching and socializing, and she is very active in the building. She likes to wear purple, go outside with her roommate, participate in outings, make biscuits and study the Bible with others.
